The backbone of Joan Tarragó's tireless work (Barcelona, 1981) is the constant exploration of an exotic graphic language through travel, movement, and perceptual play. He travels to remote places around the world and absorbs all the visuals he can find. Exploration is a significant part of his work, inspired by folklore, calligraphy, movement, seascapes, ethnicity, and the urban environment. His artistic career embraces painting, graphic design, and urban art, thus providing an eclectic and meticulous vision of contemporary art. His artistic style is nourished by symbolism, psychedelia, skate/surf culture, and a cutting-edge graphic language, which has been exhibited in the art scenes of New York, Miami, San Antonio, Atlanta, Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, Bali, Biarritz, Athens, Mexico City, Copenhagen, and Barcelona.
